Improve Memory with Rosemary Inhaling rosemary is proven to improve cognitive performance. Rosemary naturally stimulates and enlivens. Improve your focus while you’re working by keeping some rosemary essential oil in your desk and take a whiff when you start to feel like you’re dragging. Add a drop to your body lotion in the morning to get your blood flowing and help you stay energized throughout the day.
Sleep Soundly with Lavender– Lavender essential oil benefits include relieving feelings of restlessness and disturbed sleep. It also regulates serotonin levels. Place a drop of either lavender or roman chamomile on your pillow to help you drift off to dreamland. To keep insects away during your next barbeque, add a few drops of lemon eucalyptus to the melted wax of a candle or in a candle diffuser on your patio.
Alleviate a Headache with Peppermint and Lavender. Applying peppermint essential oil topically across the forehead and on the temples effectively alleviates a tension headache. A 2012 study published in European Neurology found that lavender essential oil is also an effective and safe modality in the management of migraine headaches. Apply peppermint or lavender oil topically at the onset of your headache.
Boost Your Immune System with Frankincense. Studies have demonstrated that frankincense has immune-enhancing abilities. It can be used to prevent germs from forming on the skin, mouth or in your home. Frankincense oil is a natural deodorizer and can eliminate bacteria and viruses. Make Healthy Cleaning Products with Lemon. Lemon Essential Oil is well known for its antiseptic characteristics. oil is a good addition to natural cleaning products. This oil contains a high concentration of limonene, an organic solvent that can remove excess oil. To make a soft scrub, mix 3 Tbsp. unscented liquid Castile soap, 1 cup baking soda, and 15 drops lemon essential oil.
Relieve Bruising and Sore Muscles with Arnica. Arnica is THE powerhouse for bruising and muscle strain. Arnica has shown antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and pain-relieving properties.
